Re: Private pilot's license
If you are serious about becoming a pilot, working a normal job to save up is the best path. Scholarships are, as they are for anything, not always easy to get or all-inclusive. I don't want to make it seem like a small amount of money, but you can get your PPL in $4-6,000 at your average part 61 sc...

Add-on navigation?
So I was wondering if there is any discussion or development of add-on navigation systems for our FS world. I was hearing stories the other day of the old four-course range (LFR) system that preceded VOR navigation. Given that A2A's current warplanes are all from an era which would have used such a ...

Re: Falcon heavy launch.
In the end, I trust the market. If the capabilities that SpaceX has pioneered and proven aren't game changing and worth whatever minor extra cost it might be for performance, then they wouldn't be selling launches at the rate they are and literally taking business away from ULA from not only the go...

Re: How warm is the heater in a 172?
It should be more than enough heat for the temperatures of the Pacific Northwest. In general, single engine planes like Cessnas are easily kept warm in most normal use conditions than a twin, for instance. The heater in addition to the ambient heat is more than enough.

Happy Birthday! From personal experience, I can attest that June 25th is a good day on which to have been born.

Re: We should be careful not to lose too much freedom
Well, the same quote was used by itself as the motto of the 1759 book An Historical Review of the Constitution and Government of Pennsylvania , approved by Franklin, so I would say that its standalone use would be in line with its meaning given that fact. Well, if you would say that, then you would...

Re: We should be careful not to lose too much freedom
Benjamin Franklin said that "those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," and he was right. Except that when he wrote that, he was arguing as a Pennsylvania legislator for the right of the government to tax a private interest...

Re: We should be careful not to lose too much freedom
Benjamin Franklin said that "those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety," and he was right. Too often today people wish to play the victim, to join a culture of grievance and shrug off their responsibility for convenience. The...

Re: Aviation lost a true friend this morning
As sad as it is, I don't think anybody can complain about a life of 94 years so rich as his. He was the best pilot there ever was, a product of his times, and there may never be another like him. To steal an enemy fighter right off their base because you don't like being a POW; to test fly such a gr...

Is this part of the extension of new tech that will carry over to the 377?Scott - A2A wrote:We intend to, as we are making the plane as it might exist and fly today. If someone doesn't like using a GPS, they don't need too and can exclusively use the older equipment. So the user has the options.
