Re: New texture update - more metallic look.
Thanks guys. There are no need for changes in the paintkit, the paintkit will work as is.

New texture update - more metallic look.
Many have posted asking "where is the shine". Some were worried that our new P-51D does not support a metallic,or polished look. I am in the process of updating the textures to show a more metallic look. Here is a preview of the updated textures. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/ICDP/...

Re: Why are the repaints so dark ?
I am revisiting the default repaints and the ones I included in the skin pack with the intention of improving the reflectivity. I understand your concerns on this and as you are aware I have already posted showing that shiny reflective skins are possible. Give me a few days (or even less) and I will...

Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
I cannot deny that repaint being mirror finished, but I cannot confirm it either. Reason is simple: the screenshot is taken from above, not from horizontal, and because of that, you cannot see the reflection of the pseudo-horizon. What I'm looking at is a reflection of pseudo-sky or a diffuse refle...

Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
Whether the real Moonbeam McSwine looks RIDICULOUS being fine-polished that way is a different question. I don't wish to insult the owner of otherwise such a magnificent plane so lets dodge the topic... I'm just curious: can it be done? I have already posted a screenshot showing that it can be done...

Re: A single post for bugs and features
Hi, First and foremost congratulations and thanks to all at A2A for the P-51, she's an absolute beauty. The sound of that Merlin is mesmorising. I find myself in external view listening, and smiling, to that growl and being reluctant to leave the ground! I have a suggestion though. I'm sure that lo...

Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
All the screencaps are of specular highlight / semi-gloss paints. There used to be a mirror-shining model of P-51D that has made it's appearance in some of the early development videos. Are there mirror-shine paints for the craft, in the condition of the product as it was released? Because Spitfire...

Re: What's up with my bird?
Does this happen with all three of the P-51s? I have sene issues like this occur with corrupted textures. Have you tried a re-install?

Re: Some issues: primer switch, trim axis, right/left brake
- Brake axis left/right This one is odd: When I apply ONE of the brakes alone, the foot paddle follows, but with some lag. When I apply BOTH brakes, the paddles follow for about half of the depression, when the brake axis are depressed further, the paddles snap back. Breaking with left/right brake ...

Re: Any polish available?
The Mustang wings were filled and painted with silver paint, they didn't have polished bare metal surfaces apart from the flaps and ailerons. The purpose of this filler was to presserve the laminar flow effect over the wings.

Re: Accu-Sim P-51 Screenshots
The RAF Mustang IV shown was a P-51K, so it is an ahistorical skin considering the A2A WoP3 P-51D is a later version. This particular scheme was done with the paintkit that will be online when the product is released.

As a matter of interest, and I'm sure you all are
The aircraft with the brown prop spinner and the black props with the yellow tips is a Tomahawk destiend for the RAF.
