Re: Any advantage to removing unused planes?

I did a complete delete of FSX and re-installed it, and will now start adding some of the Accusim models. Is there any advantage to deleting all the planes that come with FSX if you don't intend to use them? I don't intend to do any of the missions either. Would taking all this out improve the perf...

Yes, I stated that in my post... you just looked at the pictures didn't you?

I'll take that as a good sign :)

Re: Accu-Sim P-40 on final

Scott has given me the OK to post some screenshots of the new P-40 to whet your appetite. This particular P-40B represents the aircraft flown by 2nd Lt. Ken Taylor on Dec 7th 1941. Some sources list his P-40B that day as buzz number 316, but research has shown the number to be most likely 155. Other...

Excellent flying and excellent videos, great sense of speed in the MiG 17 low passes. Thanks for posting.

Have a look at around 3/4 down the page on this thread. I have done this myselof on 2 G940s and it is a very simple fix.

Re: Mustang Bases

Ian if you make a base that the P-51D flew out of in late 44-45 I will make a livery to match it for the release. Your work is simply excellent and a must have for any FSx warbird fan :)

Re: Texture questions between CotS and pre-CotS

I can see the problem you are having and on the default textures there are some similar issues. Having said that none of them are as bad as some of the ones you are getting. The B377 is a very large aircraft and even with 4096 textures allignment issues are not easy to fix, a single pixel at that si...

Re: Texture questions between CotS and pre-CotS

Hi,

I have checked the paintkit and found no serious issues, the only minor problem is on the door just aft of the wing and that can be minimised quite well. Can you post some screenshots to show the issues you are having please?

Make sure you have set a profile for "Rowan's Battle of Britain" in your TrackIR profile list. TrackIR ignores the BoBII Wings of Victory profile.

Re: Bader/COD and Spitfires flaps over at simHQ

The flaps are modelled differently depending on what aircraft you are flying. The Spitfire flaps are up or down, no inbetween, the 109 flaps are variable and deployed using the flaps wheel etc. It is nice that the IL2 programmers finaly got individual flaps depending on aircraft types.

Probalby taken from their own data from within the sim. One of the posts on that forum confirmed that the flaps are up or down, no in between, at least for keyboard commands.

Re: Request for advice on researching given plane's paint st

It seems strange the Mk II was just noted as 'P' in your father's log book. Is it possible he is simply noting the actual individual aircraft code letter? A lot of aricraft when they changed hands from one squadron to another simply changed the squadron codes. So in a lot of cases a Spitfire could h...

Re: Spitfire Ignonimious Career Start

You are very welcome jinxtsel, this info was a real eye-opener for me also when I read it. To be honest I cannot take any credit for this info, it is easily available and credit goes to the original authors. I got the MkII manual from this site. http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/Spitfire2_Manual.htm...
