Absolutely. All aircraft have a 2048X2048 DDS skin, except the He111 which has two 2048X2048 DDS skins.

Yes - that is the plane. It was a Piper Warrior II. It had the tapered wing. I fixed up the whole dash and interior. Here are some shots. She was a beauty. I have BOB2 and IL-2 on my systems here. When I want to play offline, I play BOB2. When I want to play Multiplayer, I play IL-2.

They are not overdone, but also not as good as we would have like to make. The game is pretty limited in the ability to make a good muzzle flash, but it is efficient and gets the job done.

Yes. In the aircraft.cfg there is an entry called:

electric_always_available = 1

Change this to:
electric_always_available = 0

and now the battery will switch the gyros on and off. Turn up the volume - its a great sound effect from the actual gyros (and click).
