I did a static rpm test on my favorite fixed pitched prop aircraft the 172 J3 and Cherokee 180 the results are as follows

Cherokee 2300 rpm static yielded 120mph

172 2100 rpm static 110kias

J3 2200 rpm static yielded 75mph

I'm planning on doing a FAI distance record in the Bonanza with the stock 285HP IO-520BA

I've decided to just continue the trip around the US

I think in March it should be good

I hate to say this but due to the vast amount of icing I am going to have to abort the around the US flight and wait for better weather to attempt it again in the Spring

At which point in the flight do I need to switch tanks do I base it on time or when the tank gets down to 50%?

I am preparing to take the V35B Bonanza in P3D around the USA I did this flight back in the old FSX days 2 years ago and now I have P3D it has all the airports in the sim so now I can do the flights in P3D which I should have been using all along
