I revised the railway line making it as narrow as is possible. The file has to be excessively large the way things work so I included a lower resolution version in case blurry or slow loading is an issue. https://www.mediafire.com/file/olnuphm0 ... 3.zip/file

I revised a few of my previously modded files to further counter the over lighting of most but not all of the trees, seems a bit muddled .

https://www.mediafire.com/file/awzq34w9 ... 3.zip/file
https://www.mediafire.com/file/ou59hhnw ... 3.zip/file
https://www.mediafire.com/file/jgerttz8 ... 3.zip/file

They seem to work fairly well with horizon distance set to high or medium. The revised fresnel reduces the reflectivity of the water and sea so they are darkened as an unwanted axiomatic effect. But adding the following settings in the bdg.txt file mostly corrects this.

WATER_COLOUR_DARK_R = 64
WATER_COLOUR_DARK_G = 95
WATER_COLOUR_DARK_B = 75
WATER_COLOUR_LIGHT_R = 0
WATER_COLOUR_LIGHT_G = 0
WATER_COLOUR_LIGHT_B = 0

Also I revised the aircraft canopies so they are more transparent but still visible enough. https://www.mediafire.com/file/clnguxh5 ... 3.zip/file

Dear Mr Boreas. You write that when installing Manston objects, you will need the installed PV file "2017_June_Kent.rar", otherwise the objects of the manston area will not be placed correctly. The file is on page 58 subscriber modifications on the bob2 site. But unfortunately the PV site (http://www3.telus.net/v1ncent/bob/2017_June_Kent.rar) does not work in my region. Be so kind as to place the PV file "2017_June_Kent.rar" here. Please convey to PV about my request and great respect for him. Many thanks to Hazy, Rogeroring, Stickman and You for your relentless love for BOB. This is a great flight simulator! )))))))))))))))))))

Hello Snoopybob. I think it might not be a region problem as I recall not being able to download PV's more recent updates as well. But I think I found that the "June Kent" file was the same as or an earlier version of the "Nov Fixes Thanet" file that I found a copy of and made a new download links for along with the Portland one. So hopefully you should be ok. But anyway, its useful to clarify and I will check to make sure I'm remembering correctly. Actually, when using the most recent files they might introduce a new problem where the trees don't match the ground textures in the Thanet and Manston area, although it's not a major issue and probably fairly easy the fix at some stage.

To add, I don't know the best order to install the terrain and ground objects mods but this is the one I'm using in jsgme which at least shouldn't cause any crashes on loading.

Thanks for the reply Mr Boreas. I am well aware of all the intricacies in the large BOB2 kitchen. I always have in stock the basic products of bread, sugar, flour, potatoes, salt, rice, sausage, beer, wine, spices)))))))))))))))))))))))))) ))))) In the form of one clean BOB root folder and Multiple folders using the finest and most sophisticated recipes from You, Hazi, Rogeroring and Stickman using the jsgme installer. I reinstalled all the files, in the order you recommended, and everything works very well)))))))))))))))))). Thank you very much)))))))))))

I hadn't appreciated how the order can be a problem. But as there must be some reason why this one seems to mostly work, hopefully it might be a useful reference. There are obvious ways it might be improved on though, if only to reduce duplicates.

I amended a couple of the links above. The Ramsgate fix file now puts the file in the correct directory and the canopies 2023 mod link no longer points the the older 2022 version.

Also, since the more detailed gear sound was introduced in 2.13 and the landing gear and flaps sounds are shared with different aircraft, and sometimes used differently; they maybe aren't always a good fit. These sound mods are just few alternatives for use with jsgme when piloting different aircraft. I included my old Daimler Benz engine start flywheel sound mod which is utilized in manual start of the bf109 and 110.

It has been a while since I uploaded anything.

This is a summer terrain with textures adapted from the il21946 352nd channel map, also some grittier cockpit textures for the Raf aircraft.

I'm assuming that you know what to do with the various files.

get it here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/u3ptjwg8 ... ts.7z/file

Hi Boreas! :)
Thanks for 'the order of installation' mod list. Recently I had to do a re-install and this list helped me as well. :oops: :)
I deleted my mod work files and various install backups to create space on my external hdd.

I made some aircraft lighting changes which seem to work quite well. https://www.mediafire.com/file/lx2mekxt ... 4.zip/file
