I made a little (well, actually a bit long) video in 2.13. I've always come back to BoB and with an upgraded system (GTX1070 and an overclocked i5-2500k) it looks beautiful to me. So, back in the saddle in a Hurricane 1A practicing start-ups, takeoffs and landings, but decided to take a coastal flight to brush up on landmarlks. No combat, just some flying and sightseeing...

Nice, I enjoyed that. I don't know, you may have been following
the user mods thread, but you might perhaps be a bit daunted to
hear we have a whole new Isle of Thanet we've been working up,
available for beta, over there. It now includes a proper Ramsgate,
including Ramsgate rail station and civil aerodrome, and all the 10
metre chalk cliffs around that area, so your tour view is now a wee
bit dated in that region. I'm not sure if it is completely seamless yet,
with a fartiles and all errant trees and hedges removed, but my part's
finished, anyway.

Rogerroger has been adding some great new ground objects for the
railyards, piers, and aerodrome buildings.

...In your narration, the first target region on the Thames is the Thames
Haven petroleum storage field, so the second one whose identity you
didn't know, is thus Tilbury Docks.

Thanks PV and commiserations on sitting through the whole thing! I didn't know about the Thanet work - will be keen to see that. is there a beta forum? Cheers too for the clarifications on places - I was trying to identify some of them from wartime maps without much success.

CHECK THE SUBSCRIBER MODIFICATIONS THREAD FOR VARIOUS MODS AND TERRAIN OPTIONS :

https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewto ... 10&t=12021

I recommend RR update3 on page 61, and RR graphic update and the darker greens stock terrain on page 63.

I wasn't really sure if this is the right place for this video but you can move it if you like.

This is a video of the Hawker Hurricane Mk Ia. It starts and finishes as the Just Flight version in FSX-SE but the middle section of the video is filmed in BoB-WoV II as this is the ONLY Battle of Britain simulation that does any justice to the actual combat:

Your comment inspires me!

What I should have done is turned on failures in FSX - engine failure certainly and maybe flaps as well. That would have added a twist!

Thanks for the idea!

Inspired by Hellcat44's comment - here is another video combining FSX-SE and BoB-WoV II. This time I am using the Aeroplane Heaven 'Dunkirk' Spitfire flying out of Goodwood Aerodrome:
