Video: Flight with Albatros D3 above Auvergne

Post by Licancabur »

Good Evening,

I suggest a small one-hour flight, above the Auvergne, Puy de Sancy, Puy de Dôme ... in central France.
Albatros D3 of A2A 8)
Getting started with the Albatros is difficult but absolutely fascinating: no flaps, no brakes, no vario, no ball, no trim...
It's rustic! 8)

Details: Auvergne Photo FVFR scene, autogen Factory and Filipo merged, Issoire le Broc scene of Occitania, Pack Auvergne by Etien/Filipo for Monuments.
From startup to extinction, to the ridges, some monuments, lakes, mountains.
This is not strictly vfr rules (some fly-bys).
Some small checklist errors also...

This aircraft is fantastic!

Thank you, enjoy above Auvergne.
Best Regards,

Thank you very much Lewis and Lucas!
The pleasure is for me, it's normal to pay tribute to the creators. 8)
And show them that their creation gives pleasure !!!
Glad you like it.
Best Regards,

I realize that I have confused the oil valve with a fuel valve in my video  ... Error due to having too practiced Spit probably with fuel cocks.
That's why during the shutdown, I make the mistake of closing it before magnetos, which must be fatal to the engine ...
I brought a small correction in my subtitles to end.
That will teach me to look out checklists !!

I love seeing the valve lifters work as it runs.
