No progress reports lately, but he hopes to have it available sometime this month last I heard!

Wow, I was completely unaware of this checklist. Just watching the videos now.

I love seeing the app in action :)

Hi Guys

Im the creator of the B-17 checklists ... Its progressing well, i planned to release before christmas but im not sure if all the voice files will be ready. I have a voice-over artist from the US working with me on this and when complete there will be over 500 checklist items/voice files.

This should be awsome and really add another dynamic to the B17.

The checklist flows are done.
Voice files are 80% done.
Ive started the manual.

If i dont complete for christmas i will release a vid showing some of the completed items in use. It will be tight as i have chrismas shopping and a birthay to fit in before christmas!!

If you like what ive done please say as your support will allow my wife to let me spend more time on it!!

This is a great addon!

I love the fact that it can be customized so easily.
Although not realistic, it even works well in Prepar3D v2 "fullscreen".

I am only using the default recordings as of yet (which are great, btw!), but have modified the wav's using a high-pass filter and some compressor and EQ to try and make it sound like beeing read into a noice cancelling mic.

Org
Modded

Can be further improved, I'm sure, but imho adds to the realism :)

SouthPawPaul: Is this addon still in development btw?
Would love if it had a sim interface and could load the checklist set automatically, based on which airplane was loaded in the sim.

Thanks for the great feedback. The mod you've done to the WAV files sounds excellent too. If you get them all done, zip them up and I'll stick them up on the project site (with appropriate credit of course :)).

I've resisted the urge to code this into a specific sim and as a result, folks use this app across multiple sims; DCS, X-Plane, Falcon4BMS to name a few. I'm not currently coding any new features - I'm not abandoning it though!

As an aside, for some reason unknown to me, there was a massive flourish of over 70 downloads over the holidays. This surprised me as the downloads had been tailing off, this is of course inevitable in this niche part of the gaming world.

I myself am currently flying more in X-plane these days than FSX, but I really *really" miss my C172 :'(

Ok, great to hear you're not abandoning it :)

Audacity luckily has a batch-convert function, so I've converted them all an put in this zip: http://www.flightsimnorway.com/fs/Check ... es_mod.zip.
Although probably not a fully realistic sound, at least to me this makes it sound a bit more like 'beeing there'. A few of the (first) words will be a bit hard to notice, but I kept it like this (adds to the realism/challenge imho).

There was a post about your addon in a Norwegian flightsim forum (flightsim.no) a couple of days ago (which is where I got aware of it). I would suspect that generated some downloads too.

Thanks again for this, it really 'forced' me to start using the 172 checklists every time, like I should :)

Thanks for the upload. I've tried downloading your files and I get an error, presumably because I don't have a Flightsim Norway account? Any chance you could share them via Dropbox, Googledrive or some such medium? It'll only be until I can snag them, then you can delete the link.

Sorry, forgot I had disallowed 'hotlinking', my bad..
Worked like a charm from work though (probably because I pasted the address into a new tab in the browser).

The link above should be ok now, but here is an alternative link :)
(As for DropBox, they seem to have some sort of problem just now, my files won't sync and I get lots of 500 errors).

Well, your application made my simday, so I consider myself a humble servant in this case :)

Maybe it is just me, but using the files, I found them a bit stressful to the ears in the long run. So I have made a de-essed and a bit less 'sharp' version.
Feel free to pick them up here or here.

Thanks for the bump Lewis. Still getting a regular trickle of downloads. Sadly no one seems interested in contributing to the open source code.

Yes, programmers are very very rare in a flightsim community of mostly creative photoshop types. Its the same in the industry as a whole though

Hi, SouthPawPaul
Thanks for your work.
provided Voice activated C172 Checklist installed and work very well on my Window 7 home edition.
You also encourage others to participate and create new checklists.
I, started creating TECNAM P92 FSX aircraft voice activated checklist using 30 days IVONA Trail software.
So far I'm able to create several sound wave files following Text pdf checklist.
Can you create code for "repeat" or "Say Again" command, if pilot misses the voice instruction or advice.
Soon I'll let you know my progress.
