I am struggeling a bit trying to make a chrome spinner on my BTT livery (P3D v5). Yellow has been added to the metallic plate for the prop spinner texture, but all I get is glossy black. Some advices how to make a polished chrome spinner?
I've also noticed that the oleo leg is almost black (haven't touched this part of the c172_metallic).

Re: Chrome details with PBR
I don't have v5 but my first attempt for v4.5 came out black as well. Michal - A2A explained how to do it here.

My PBR spinner came out like this, again, in v4.5

As to the black leg, yes. That part is black in the albedo paint kit. I replaced it with the part from the old kit.

I have a better understanding of how PBR works now. I am making progress, but not quite satisfied yet. A few more laps to go with the PBR textures....

Re: Chrome details with PBR
Learned something now. PBR chrome details works fine with P3D v.4.5. Version 5 is far more buggy, and PBR textures seems to be treated different from 4.5. In addition I am using the "True Sky" feature in version 5. This feature is a beta and far from finished. I guess that LM will have some work to do before the chrome details can be controlled by the painter. So this is a problem related to the sim and not to the model.

Re: Chrome details with PBR
The more I read the more I think they rushed to release v5, bugs and all. Just to beat MFS2020. Think I'll stay with v4.5. A PBR Spitfire would be nice, just about now.
