black screen

I was flying the 172 and all of a sudden my computer screen went black it's happened to me before but I don't know if it's a graphics card problem or what?

Okay, that's odd. It sounds like you found the hypoxia simulation, however it will not be induced at such a low altitude. Did the simulator crash? Did you have to restart the computer? Lock up? Were you able to access the menus?

I had to restart the computer but my computer is 13 years old my graphics card is a Nvidia GTX220 1gig card

Hey, you mentioned it happened before was this with our 172 or another aircraft.

Also you said 3000 is this correct?

Hello,

what units do you refer to when you say 3000?

Also if it happens with other aircraft it sounds like an FSX error or system error. Very strange for now error message box or anything though?

I think he is referring to his altitude. tcd223 asked him what altitude he was at.

Yes but what units, feet or metres. If metres the. It sounds like he pilot passed out due to hypoxia and so no error.

It feet the its an error but from the sounds of it some big error to cause the graphics to stop displaying maybe even hardware fault on the card.

feet I was at 3000 feet MSL


I was flying N1429M back from ICT to CZL and I went to the outside view and got the black screen again this time at 5500 feet msl Is that a FSX bug?
