My New C172R

Post by FMC »

Today, I purchased C172R Trainer!

The download and Installation went well!

All systems work well/OK! However, in cruise with the A/P On, Alt. Hold On and HDG Hold On , the aircraft oscillates in flight up and down, right to left!

The old A/Ps used to do this in C172s and C182s inflight, you couldn’t rely on them!

I followed your FAQs for loading and I can’t find any other faults or problems!

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Graham

Hi Graham,

What’s your frame rate when this happens? I had the same issue with the 182 once when the frames got into the low teens. Maybe that’s it?!

Happy flying

Ok. Then that’s not it I guess. What was the weather like when this happened?

I have had that problem on real windy days and the only way to correct it is to fly by hand.

Keep smiling

Thanks!

Sky clear, no cloud, little wind and cruising @ 7000 ft.

T/O good, engine power, inst. nav. and avionics were all good!

Taxing and surface controls were all good!

I’m guessing it’s got something to do with flight dynamics and configurations?

Cheers,

Graham

Hi Graham, did you run the update after you installed the aircraft? I didn’t see you mention that...or I just missed your mentioning!

You can find a link to the update above the threads, in the pinned section.

Hi Graham,

Since low FPS seems to have been ruled out as the culprit, are you using P3D's default weather, or weather injected by an add-on such as ASP3D?

Thanks,

Thanks, Nick!

I’m using add-on weather ASP4 for P3D v4.5

Thanks for confirming Graham,

Please can you try a quick test without ActiveSky running to see if the issue still occurs. Also, can you let us know if any other add-ons are running which would potentially affect the aircraft's flight characteristics; for example camera add-ons such as Ezdok.

Thanks, Nick!

Today, I did a quick circuit without ASP4 weather on and the flight dynamics were about the same as if ASP4 was running, the weather was fine, it was CAVOK! Maybe the aircraft did fly little better!

The only add-on going at the same time as P3D v4.5 was running, A2A Accu-Feel.

No Ezdok installed!

All is good with the aircraft on the ground, it taxis and takes off very nicely, how it should!

It’s only when in flight the aircraft moves about with or without A/P on!

Graphics are good, all systems work on the aircraft!

Cheers,

Graham

Okay, cheers Graham.

Since you mention Accu-Feel, please can you just check that it's disabled? It should automatically be set to off if you're using an Accu-Sim aircraft, but worth double checking.

Thanks,

Thanks, Nick!

I appreciate your time!

I’m not sure if Accu-Feel was on or off, will check and get back to you!

I will be away for a few days now, talk soon!

Hi Nick,

Today, I uninstalled and reinstalled A2A C172R, checked all settings, Accu-Feel not on, I did a quick test flight all was good, no unstable flight with or without A/P! All systems working!

Many thanks.

Cheers,

Graham
