Can you use the AP on this as it comes up in the avionics ?

Post by Styggron »

Hi everyone,

As we can bring up the radio stack, I found the AP works in the way that you can set the heading bug, press AP and NAV and the Anson will follow the heading bug. This solves the problem of it always veering left.

However, I found the other AP features don't work.

Yes this is a period aircraft so is it only the heading hold that works ?

From memory the AP works in a basic way. The heading adjustment can be made by adjusting the gyro knob setting.

- Z - AP engage/disengage
- ctrl+Z - alt hold
- ctrl+H - heading hold

There isn't an AP panel as the real aircraft didn't have ... Purely an FSX concession.

I'd love to see someone do an FSX version of the Lorenz Blind Approach system but that, as Narrator would say, is a story for another time.

I do adore this plane. I wish A2A would do a Avro Lancaster.

Have you done one of the Lancaster Taxi rides up at the Linconshire Aviation Heritage Centre ?

At present, I use the freeware Lancaster, here https://www.rikoooo.com/en/downloads/vi ... oad/52/644

I think I'll be doing it definitely. I adore Lancasters Lewis. I SERIOUSLY ADORE them and Spitfires.
