The color scheme reminds me summer. Very nicely done.

See this is whats confusing. Yes I have a model.ini file that I just now found. It's only in two default texture folders... but the thing is, this file has to point to a model itself telling the computer to use either the spinner, the emblems or I assume both since there's two separate lines of config you can edit in the model.ini file so then where are the actual models that support this feature? doesn't there have to be something (a model) that the ini files have to read and get the info from?... so this is why I put the two model folders back from the original Cherokee download after installing the core because I had not seen anything about the ini file or the ini file pointing to any other model files or folders for the A2A Cherokee hosting the spinner and emblem model objects so they (the emblems and chrome spinner) work on the model. Where are the models that the model.ini file points to? Tell me how this model.ini file works please. I'm just using the actual old style model folders right now because they are working just fine for me.

Great repaint. Love that colour :D Downloading now.

BTW, the original texture file "texture.white-red" has the .ini file which should remove the need to have the "emblem" model folder installed. Just copy this .ini file into this repaint and it should work.

Mike

Thanks Dogs! yeah it only works for removing I guess but I thought it was an option if you want chrome spinners and emblems. I tried everything with the ini file and without it and it does not work making the emblems appear if that's suppose to be an option to actually show the emblems. Either way it looks good with or without the emblems but personally I think this particular paint looks good with the emblems as it adds a bit more to it.

I reinstalled the plane and am re-downloading the accusim update now so I guess I'll just leave it as it is. I'll make an addon with the logo's painted on instead of using the model files cause again this is not working if you want to see the emblems.

OK well the model.ini does in fact work. I was only viewing the plane in the main menu in the selection screen where it spins. Well I didn't know you had to actually load it in the sim to see the logo changes (on/off) options. So disregard all previous post and disregard adding the older model folders to the directory.

NOTE, in the texture config that's included with the paint remove the text: emblem next to the model line in your config since you don't need that in there anymore if using the model.ini file. So the line should look like this: model=

Sorry about stirring the pot with all this crap but other planes do show different features in the main menu after selecting different features but not this one so I thought the model.ini was not working no matter what changes I made.

ALSO, one thing you might notice if you haven't already is if you set your weather setting to around DUSK (not too dark but not to light) you'll notice something in the white paint hehe  Just a bit of a hidden feature I added that only appears at dusk. 8)

Glad you have it sorted.

When A2A changed the file structure on the Cherokee, I created a folder for each of "emblem" and "chrome spinner" .ini files in my main Cherokee back up folder. This means that as a paint is released requiring either, I can quickly find the appropriate file for each new repaint as needed. I think I will do the same for the Comanche. I've never had a problem yet.

The files can be found in the original paint schemes provided by A2A on release. These are; "Emblem" is in "texture.white-red" & "chrome spinner" is in "texture.white-blue".

Hope this helps anyone with the issue of missing emblems or chrome spinners on their newly installed repaints.

Cheers,
Mike
