Hi Guys...this is a new one.
While flying the Cherokee 180 for no apparent reason I lost video. I was already in flight and I heard a chime and the picture went black. The audio portion was working fine and continued to work but in order to end the flight I had to force a shut down. I was using ATIS, Ground and Tower and while I was doing a run up at the approach end of the runway Ground gave another aircraft clearance to taxi and then to hold as "...there is a Piper on the taxiway". Ground kept giving clearance and then immediately after to hold... in raid succession at least 10-15 times until I cleared taxiway and took off. I also used the progressive feature in FSX Steam. Could it be that these features are not compatible with A2A sims. Would appreciate your help.

Hello,
did the loss of video also have any other symptoms such as the view moving in and out slightly and a heavy breathing sounds starting. If so then you will have been flying too high and have passed out due to lack of oxygen.
thanks,
Lewis

No...I was at 5500 feet and got no indication beforehand of a problem other than the erratic dialogue mentioned previously between ground to another aircraft attempting to enter the taxiway....
Re: Video Turns Off while in Flight
Something wrong with the video card, then? The chime being some sort of alert, maybe. Its been a few days now, so what happened when you restarted your computer?

Sorry have been away. Video Card? A working off a gaming laptop...isn't all of this part of the mother board. I'm not a computer whiz and don't know as much as all of you do
Re: Video Turns Off while in Flight
Could be an overheating issue. You don’t say if you were able to recover by rebooting, exiting the simulator, etc. Make sure if it’s a laptop that NO vent holes are plugged or covered, exhaust can get out properly. Same if console unit. Can’t be full of cat hair, dust etc.
