The USB-interfaces and the buttons are plug-n-play-ware, You do not need to be a cockpitbuilder.

I bought some cheaper buttons at a online-store for electronic parts some months ago, but I recommend the buttons of http://www.leobodnar.com, they are much better and more "handy".

Tried first: not working
15=L:Kn62OuterKnob,percent) (range: 0 – 100)
16=L:Kn62InnerKnob,percent) (range: 0 – 100)
Tried second: not working
15=L:kn62InnerKnob=INC
16=L:kn62InnerKnob=DEC

Didn't know that I can use the parameters INC and DEC.
Works perfectly, thank You so much again!

It was a bit tricky to switch the PULL/PUSH-position of the Kn62InnerKnob for .50Khz-changes with the same rotary encode, but with the button-flag-function of FSUIPC it is as real as it gets:-)

Do I have to add something to FSUIPC ini file?

What sort of physical control is connected to the board vangyver? For example, is it a potentiometer, a rotary encoder, or a button or switch?

Thanks,

Rotary encoder
I have not added anything to the ini file.
Thank You So Much for any help you can give.
Van
ps: All other rotary encoders I have (some using lvars also) work very good.

Okay thanks. In that case, I think the "INC" and "DEC" method should work okay. However, might be worth testing these commands with just simple button or keyboard inputs if you can't get them to work with the rotary encoder.

You don't need to manually add anything to the *.ini file; once you've created the text macro, just assign the commands via the FSUIPC "Buttons & Switches" page in the usual way.

Cheers,

My macros:

[MACROS]
1=L:Com1InnerKnobPull=TOGGLE
2=L:Com1OnOff=SET
3=L:Nav1PullIdent=SET
4=L:Com2InnerKnobPull=TOGGLE
5=L:Com2OnOff=SET
6=L:Nav2PullIdent=SET
7=L:AdfAdfButton=TOGGLE
8=L:AdfBfoButton=TOGGLE
9= L:AdfFrqButton=TOGGLE
10=L:AdfFrqEtButton=TOGGLE
11=L:AdfOnOffKnob=SET
12=L:AdFFreqInnerKnobPull=TOGGLE
13=L:kn62OnOff=SET
14=L:kn62Function=SET
15=Kn62OuterKnob=inc Does not show
16=L:Kn62InnerKnob=inc Does show

Lines 1 thru 14 works great. Tried key press, no luck.

Thank You,
Van

Sounds like you may not have entered the "parameter" value to tell FSUIPC what values the "INC" and "DEC" commands should run to. For using a rotary encoder (i.e. so you can rotate it through more than 100 'clicks' without the knob in the VC stopping) I guess you could try a parameter of 500 for "INC" and -500 for "DEC".

Fix an typo in 15=Kn62OuterKnob=inc Does not show -,was missing the L:
corrected to 15=L:Kn62OuterKnob=INC

The parameter of 500 for "INC" WORKS and also parameter of -500 DEC
works.

With Leo Bodnar BU0836X 12-Bit i can change the Pulse Width for
each input from 8ms to 200ms ( by 8 count ). The default value is 48ms.
I can also change pulse per detent from (1 to 1) or (1 to 2) or 1 to 4).
I left everything at the defaut of 48ms, and 1 to 1 pulse width.

I will have to play with ms and pulse width. Open to suggestions.
Thank You So Very Much,
Van

You're welcome Van - glad to hear you've got the input working.

Afraid I can't help with any suggestions specific to the Leo Bodnar hardware as sadly I've no experience with these devices. A bit of trial-and-error may be required with respect to pulse width etc. unless any other owners of this hardware are able to chime in...

Thanks,

Nick,
The Leo Bodnar dual concentric rotary encoder with push button ELMA E37 is $32.18 plus shipping each. I need 6 for the radio stack. That would cost me $193.09 PLUS shipping. I have two of them but the dials seen bigger than found in a real aircraft. The diameter of the outside dial is almost 7/8 inch. They are high quality product but expensive.
I also purchased one from Propwash Simulation Dual Encoder Kit w/switch for only $12.95 ea plus shipping. This is the one I was testing with you. Both Leo`s and Propwash are rated at 300,000 revolutions. The outside dial on Propwash encoder is almost 5/8 inch and more to the size of a real aircraft dial in my opinion. I am a license pilot, just don`t fly anymore as I am almost 70 years old.
Again thank you for all your help. It is greatly appreciated,
Van
