Re: GNS 430W
Hello and welcome.
The GNS 430 is a third-party add-on with versions available from both RealityXP and Flight1 software.
Please can you confirm if you've purchased the GNS from either of these developers, and if so, which sim platform you're using?
Thanks,
Nick

Re: GNS 430W
Okay thanks.
The FSX version of the Cherokee supported the original RealityXP GNS whereas I imagine you've purchased the GNS 430W V2. However, you you should be able to use the setup tool provided by RXP (available from the top "Add-ons" menu) to convert the panel.cfg file for the newer gauge.
Cheers,
Nick

Re: GNS 430W
Now I can’t start the engine. I’m not sure if the sim is “paused” or not.
Am using FSX Steam, A2A Cherokee 180 with RealityXP GNS 430 on Windows 10 Laptop
The GNS 430 does power on and earlier today after your help I was doing just fine, until I tried to undock the “6 pack” gauges.
I’ve restarted my computer twice now.
TIA

Re: GNS 430W
Not too sure what you mean about undocking 6 pack gauges, but bear in mind that they Cherokee doesn't include 2-D panels and is designed to be flown from the virtual cockpit instead.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: GNS 430W
Thanks Nick. I do now understand what you said. It is curious that I can get the RealityXP GNS into another window which I think is really nice.
But my problem remains, I can’t start the engine!
I tried a Cessna 172 that came with FSX and it worked fine. So obviously something has happened to the A2A Cherokee 180.
What do you recommend?
TIA

Re: GNS 430W
Hello,
Please can you give a bit more info about what happens when you try to start the engine? For example does the starter turn the prop? And are you manually starting or the using auto-start option? (via the Shift 3 menu, or with Ctrl + e)
Also, if you haven't already, please can you make sure the Accu-Sim update which can be downloaded here has been installed.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: GNS 430W
Shift 7 shows the maintenance. There was a message there about complete engine overhaul (or close to that) so I clicked that and tried the Control-E and engine started.
Ran FSX 2 more times and engine wouldn’t start again so went back to maintenance and it said prop needed to be repaired, so I clicked that and Control-E worked again.
Is there a way to turn off maintenance??? TIA

Re: GNS 430W
You can turn off damage using an option in the Shift 3 menu if you wish.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: GNS 430W
Turning off damage doesn’t seem to work. Any other suggestion?
