How to install A2A in P3d V5.2 Academic Licence

Post by mikec »

Hi.

I just bought the A2A Cherokee, Comanche, and Cessna 182. (Order #551663 was placed on December 31, 2021 and is currently Completed.)

Went to install them and the system gets to the screen "Configuring Accu-Sim 182 Skylane for Prepared 3D v5" and hangs there.

Waited for a couple of hours; No Change. Rebooted and tried again; same thing. Products not installed for P3D v5

FSX is installed and my FSX A2A products are installed in \My Documents\A2A\FSX. All working fine.

I only downloaded V5 for the P3D products. Do I need to download and install V2 through 4?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike C

Hi Mike and Happy New Year!

Just to clarify, do you mean you've just purchased and installed Prepar3D v5 from the Lockheed Martin site as well as a few of our products from our store? If so, it would probably have been Prepar3D v5.3 that you download, as this is the more recent version. However, the aircraft should work in any version of Prepar3D v5.

If the installation process for your new A2A aircraft is hanging, probably the most likely culprit is something like antivirus software blocking the installation. Do you have a third-party AV suite installed at all?

Thanks,

Happy New Year as well. Hope '22 has more to offer than '21.

I have had P3d Several years now. Yes; it is 5.3.

Your suggestion of killing the AV worked. Problem resolved.

Thanks for your help.
