I was doing a little testing. I wanted to increase the gyro sound volume so I could hear it better when starting up my simulator. I increase the volume to 9400 in the sound.cfg file from the default of 6000. It works but I also noticed the a2a_pa28-180_gyro.wav file continues to run unless I turn off the master battery. I thought this unusual as the continuous playing of this file takes away system resources.
[GYRO_SOUND]
filename = a2a_pa28-180_gyro
maximum_volume = 6000

Re: GYRO_SOUND
I lowered the gyro sound volume to 7700 which seems about right for my testing. I would think since the gyro sound needs to only run when first starting the engine but once the engine is started the simulated gyro sound is no longer needed until engine shutdown. If i was programming the gyro sounds I would have two sound files. A gyro start up file and a gyro shut down file. This would free up some system resources.
Just my opinion.
