I hope some one will find this calculator helpful.
When trying to figure out my load & balance in the sim, I got tired of trying to read the itty-bitty (and mostly invisible) lines on the charts I got from the POH I found online. I see there are a number of apps out there, but I don't have an i-Thingy.
Also saw a number of online charts (mostly S, or RG models or 172's) but none were appropriate for the 182T.
Soooo, I figured I'd give it a whirl and come up with my own.
Advice on this was given generously by member N324JK. I tried to make it as user-friendly as possible with bold orange and red warning text when conditions needed it.
There are 3 different formats of the same spreadsheet in the zip file (.ods, .xls and .sxc . I use OpenOffice-Calc, and sometimes it does odd things when saving into other formats. So please excuse if the labels or column format is a little off for you. (ex: If using the .xls, you may need to double click the line between rows "3" and "4" on the left to make eveything line up properly) If any or all are unusable, let me know and I'll delete the link.
You can download it here.
Again, I hope someone else can use it.

Re: Weight & Balance Calculator
What kind of assistance are you after? The implications from different balances are very different when considering land vehicles vs. airplanes. If you want to, I can try to walk you through the W&B topic in what comes to airplanes, however, very little of that is applicable to land vehicles.AlonzosBinC wrote:Can anybody assist with theory and or suggestions as to a fore and aft weight balance
I am working on building a streamliner and any assistance on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Weight & Balance Calculator
Seems "AlonzosBinC" is some sort of ad bot which just reposts stuff from other sources. Hopefully Mr. B. can get rid of 'it'.

Re: Weight & Balance Calculator
This looks like a great tool, but I cannot download it. When I click on the link I get a message that the item is no longer available, may have expired or I do not have permission to view it. Is this link still valid? Thanks.

Hey guys,
that links seem to be broken. Please could you update the links or give us another chance to get that calculator for the Skylane?
Thanks in advance,
Zacke

Re: Weight & Balance Calculator
I just downloaded and installed it, and it works. KM2727's most recent link goes to Simviation search results for A2AC182W. The search results has a "Link to product" link that goes nowhere. Above that, however, is a "A2A Cessna 182 Weight/Balance & CoG Calculator" link that takes you to the downloadable file.
