Engine Sound ... How Accurate?

Post by Mithras »

I like flying the 182, but I can't stand the drone of the engine, is this accurate?? I have flown lots of aircraft, including the Cherokee and Cub, and been up in a Cherokee, Grob and C150, and of course I've got all those Milviz and Alabeo planes ... I've never heard a sound like the 182. It drives me nuts, it doesn't really sound like an aero engine. I'm sure its spot on, but if it sounded more meaty, I might just fly it more. :D

The engine sound was recorded in the actual 182 as I remember.

Flown in a C 182 several times. Sounds pretty realistic to me.

Maybe the OP needs to check his sound settings, speakers, etc.....
