C182 Throttle too sensitive and nosewheel tilling not powerful enough

Post by mkrishna »

I have a C-182 Cessna. Whenever i push the throttle either it doesnt move at all or moves too fast. While moving, the nosewheel tilling is not powerful enough - I am not able to make a full sharp turns easily because of this. Is there a simple fix for these two issues? Appreciate your help!

Hello and welcome to the forums,

be careful on the throttle and make sure you allow the little time for the engine to catch up and momentum to start moving, dependant on the surface of course, grass and rough strips will need that little extra bump to get them rolling.

For the turning in sharper turns in the 182 you'll be wanting to tap the brakes to her turn around a little tighter than the nose wheel normally allows.

Its always worth asking if you are an FSX user to make sure you run the latest updater to get all updated here;

P3Dv+ users have there updater for the aircraft under your windows start menu >> A2A Simulations

[Posting on behalf of my kid since he is one doing it :)] Thanks for the reply. He tried the suggestions but it still doenst seem to work. Here is a video showing the problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBQwws1kK6E As you can see even at maximum nose wheel tilling it still doesnt turn sharp enough. Appreciate your help!!

Hello,

Is your Prepared3d platform all updated, as you'll want to make sure that is all updated.

Also check your 182 is all updated using the A2A 182 updater found under your windows start menu > A2A Simulations.

Regarding the video it doesn't look like any differential brake is being applied to start a tight turn?

Thanks,
Lewis
