Comanche emblem

Post by doksas »

Hello,
I know for model.ini file in texture folder and i add emblem in my fictional repaint but the color is the same as the color of the plane and it does not look good in simulator,

Mmm, there has to be a texture somewhere but I'm buggered if I can find it. It must be tucked away within the model and unless you're very, very clever that's where it will stay! What I have done in the past is to disable the badge and make your own. My best shot.

Oh and don't worry about your English. It's better than most of the people that live here, you know, Americans. :D

Hi doksas,

I think this bit is what you're after. Next to the textures for the horizontal stabilizer.

The "Piper" and "Cherokee 180" emblems on the cowling and fuselage are actually a 3D part of the model and whether they're visible or not is controlled by a flag in the "model.ini" file which can be placed in the texture folder for each paint scheme.

[model]
PropellerModel = 0
FuselageEmblems = 1

The other variable refers to whether the spinner is painted or chrome.

That was from “Nick” in another post

If I recall, I too changed the emblem texture hoping it would enhance it, but nothing changed, then Nick sent the instructions and that corrected it.

One more question please,
i have installed custom VC panel textures, brown wood colors, but when I look from outside plane to inside , its default color panel, not same as in VC view.
So, which texture file i must modify or remove to have same panel colors as inside VC ?

EDIT:
Found it, pa24_250c_t
