Cant transfer to P3D v5 due to this problem

Post by Sheldo »

Hi,

Can you please help me I am trying to re-install my A2A products and keep hitting the same problem the auto-selected directory is "greyed out" and is pointing me to a directory that does not exist anymore ?

How do I reset/clear this direction as delete is not possible it's for use in P3D v4.5 and/or v5 ?

I have now uninstalled V4.5, but it will still won't transfer

Best regards

Keith

Hi Keith,

When you uninstall P3Dv4, it tends to leave quite a few files behind, including the "add-ons.cfg" files which the installer is using to determine if you have any A2A products installed in the sim.

To get rid of the leftover P3Dv4 files, you'll need to manually delete the following directories.

C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4

Please bear in mind that the current P3Dv4 Accu-Sim fleet and their installers aren't officially supported in P3Dv5 and we're still working to iron out a few issues. At the very least, you'll need to rename or remove the "Windshield.dll" as described here.

Thanks,
