Comanche moves with handbrakes on

Post by Seat7A »

Hi
I have a problem in P3DV5 HF1. When my Comanche stands with the handbrake on and I spin the engine, the aircraft moves very slowly forward. What can be done? The problem has not been found in P3DV4.5. I have the latest version of the Comanche.

Hello Thomas,

the move under parking brake issue still exists in v5 as with previous versions dating back to the FSX 2006 release. You can mitigate it somewhat by idling lower rpm or using toe brakes instead. Unfortunately v5 also has another bug that sometimes a very slow rotation can also occur in the users aircraft. It has been reported to Lockheed so they are aware of the issue on the platform and new hot fixes I am sure will be coming.

Rule of thumb for v5 so far seems to be to make sure you map a key to reload user vehicle as it resets the loading of the users aircraft and seem to correct the issues encountered with the v5 platform for the most part.

thanks,
Lewis

Hello Lewis!
Thank you for your explanation. OK. Is Reload user vehicle the same as Reload user object in P3D?

Yes, I believe that's the one. For v5 ive set mine to my R key and use it once everything's loaded in. It doesn't require another full re-load it almost instant reload of the aircraft you are in and works great for all sims in v5 from default to third party from what ive found so far.

Hello Emmy,

ive replied in your other thread with Scott and Nick. Please can I ask that we concentrate on your issue in your thread rather than spreading posts across multiple non related threads as it makes giving help a lot harder.

thanks,
