Comanche 250 Jack Pop ups

Post by golfguyw5 »

Just noticed this on a recent replay exterior landing shot. Saw the jacks and drum attached to the plane. Landed ok but now I get very brief pops ups of the jack system (on and off) as I am stationary on the field or in the air. If I press the jacks on shift 3 jacks and barrel shows up as sit should and if I press it again it dissapears
but starts popping up very briefly, on and off again. Its some kind of glitch but I can't seem to be able to stop it. Downloaded latest up date for P3DV4 and nothing changed. Would appreciate some guiidance please and thanks.

Hello Dennis,

was this just during replay?

Please note replay in fsx and p3d are not for the eye candy shall we say and will not often represent the visual of what was happening. They are not really recommended for use with the rule of thumb being the more complex and realistic the simulation the less compatibility it has with the replay functions.

Hi Lewis.
These “accessories” show up in real-time as well. They are pulses similar to the nav lights, on and off very briefly. They include
The jacks, a blue barrel and a red cloth behind the prop, all flashing. They don’t physically affect flights or landing and can only be seen on exterior views. I’m really into visuals and would like to get this glitch cleared up. I really appreciate your help. As a side note,
all the 250's in the select aircraft preview window, show the jacks and a blue barrel attached (and not pulsing) as the aircraft apins around. Really wierd.

Hello Dennis,

can you please make sure your P3D is all updated to the latest v4 from the Lockheed website and also that your Comanche is updated using the updater under your windows start menu > A2A Simulations you will find the Comanche check for updates utility to double check you are all updated.

Also worth noting to check you are not using the Comanche as the default flight in the sim and that for troubleshooting you are not using a saved flight but a new one from the menu.

thanks,

Hi Lewis:

Both P3d and the Comanche are up to date. I do not use any add-on aircraft for start up. All my flights are set up as new.

Lewis your not gonna believe this but as I was searching for a possible answer I pulled up shift three and had trouble turning off the "pitot " For some reason the door opened as I was clicking on the pitot. I finally got them both turnied off and noticed the jack pulsing had stopped. I could not believe it as I had done the same thing many times before with no effect on the visual glitch. Don't know how it got fixed but it seems to be.

False alarm. I restarted P3D and booted up the 250 and the pulsating jacks were back. DSsshould have known it was too good to be true

HI Lewis:

Loaded the "original default flight", an F22 Raptor at Eglin AFB and the pulses dissapeared when I brought up the Comanche. That must have been it. I'll keep you advised if it should come back but thank you so much
for sticking with me on this.
Best regards,

Dennis

Glad to hear, it did sound like a flight load issue. For frustration free simming I recommend keeping the p3d default flight alone just as it can cause these annoying flight load issues sometimes when you change it. Not always but sometimes and annoyingly sometime out of the blue. For example 2006-2016 I think it was I was running my own default flights fine, then randomly in 2016 my p3d at the time decided it didnt like it anymore and would cause issues. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it that ive noticed. This is why I generally advise against changing it just to rule it out.

cheers and happy flying in the virtual skies
