Hey, probably me being inept....I was at 3000ft trimmed turned on the AP, the status light showed ready (and can confirm as I was able to hold heading). But when I tried to engage altitude hold it wouldn't engage.
Anything in the AP startup process that I'm missing? Are there individual circuit breakers for different aspects of AP that could have popped?
Thanks
Russell

Hey there Russell. Here is a link for the manual that I had to go over to properly use the auto pilot. Hope this helps you out.

Ahh many thanks.
I missed the part in the manual now seen after re-reading that states having to have some form of lateral tracking on before you can engage the altitude hold
