Wow! After the preview video I'd given up on the clickable canopy/spinner idea, but you guys actually implemented it! So impressed, can't wait! I can legitimately fly the SNJ I flew in as a kid, as long as I can convince one of our awesome local repainters to help me out!

Seriously cannot wait now!

It's too long a wait! :-P
It's most definitely too long of a wait! That's another week of work thinking about the T6...

I'm still kind of in disbelief that she's being released. I kind of prefer the way A2A handles announcements and updates vs other developers. It is a really nice surprise when the videos hit because you know the release is soon to follow. You feel like you end up "waiting" a lot less. 8)

Just have to find some way to let her know without hurting her feelings lol.

And yet, it makes the waiting feel so much longer at the same time. Can't wait for it to be released.

I'm sold sold sold, and to think a few days ago I wasn't really interested in the T-6. It's that A2A magic, there are no other FS developer out there like A2A. Thanks Scott & Co! also NO SPINNER, different starters and canopies, just wow.

One more thing, look at the DETAIL of that engine. Nuts and bolts in such clear detail. Amazing.
Cheers!/Andreas

I almost drown on my own spittle...

There are direct drive and inertia starters mentioned. What is the difference between them?
Is there a good read covering this?

Cool thing to introduce the possibility to swap to the football ADF antenna as well.

And I give +1 to Yoyo.

A wartime pilot would've been great to have. (Maybe alongside with an update? 8) )
Along with the football this would do great on "historic" screenshots. :D

Oh...is there an oxygen system in that plane? Would make flying in the altitudes the Six can handle a lot easier and longer lasting.

Happy Easter holidays, Everyone!
Cheers,
Marco

In principle, inertial starters first store the energy into a flywheel, which is then connected to the engine to turn it. For a long time, direct-drive starters are used in new designs as they are lighter and simpler. On the other hand, direct drive starter draws an extremely high current and necessitates a high-torque motor.

These are another new and strange piece of history to me, I'm interested to study them in detail when beginning my virtual crash course into radials! :)
