Hey guys,
sometimes she needs some time to catch so I wonder how long one could run that direct inertial starter without overheating or damaging it. Are there limits published or known? How long can I run that starter before let it cool down for some minutes?
Or isn't that an isue with that inertial starter type?
Thanks in advance,
Zacke
cool down needed for the direct inertial starter?
Re: cool down needed for the direct inertial starter?
Hey Zacke, this isn’t necessarily in a manual…but I usually follow a 10 second start cycle with a 20 second “cool down” period - both for myself and the starter. I use the time to think about whether I’ve over or under primed, or if environmental conditions require more, or less, priming. I usually start with three shots…maybe four if its really cold and adjust up or down if I get a failed start. I have no idea if A2A simulated a damaged starter due to repetitive, failed start cycles. Hope that helps!
