]I just installed a very nice FIP Gauge Airspeed indicator which checked out perfectly with cockpit readings on my Spitfire operating in the MPH mode.
Upon flying my T-6 with this same meter I found a discrepancy in Air Speed indications of cockpit vs external gauge because my meter in the cockpit is calibrated in Knots. All information in the T-6 Manual re flying the plane indicates airspeed in MPH and the plane was fundamentally at Trainer for American pilots who think in MPH.
I can't be the first person to notice this!
What to do?? Is there any way to change the cockpit meter to agree with the manual and why doesn't it in the first place.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
John]

Re: T-6 Air Soeed meter
Check out page 122 of your T-6 Manual. See the Shift+3 panel? Near the bottom of the left column is a spot where you can click and make the ASI read in knots or miles per hour. I run mine in knots, and I've gone through my Pilot's Manual and annotated all the speed references with the equivalent knot speeds. PM me, and I'll email you a copy.
