Well, seeing as how I leave for my inlaws tomorrow I shall be printing this off in full and reading it all weekend.

Is anybody else excited for this?! :D

Had a quick overfly through the manual, much looking forward! Hoped that the GTN750 will be supported instead of the 650...

@ Scott: I am a bit suprised to see one of my pictures of the Lockheed Electra (Page 23) without any remark. Did i will become a discount on the connie?!

Looking forward to the release.
A GTN750 in Connie would look horrible IMHO. A small gps will be fine.

Deep in study now. Electric prop governors... control boost settings... hmmm...

Re: the GTN 650... sigh... (reaches for kerosene and match, sets fire to more money...)

Truth is, I'd been planning to add it to my P3D Cherokee, so... here we are...

guys...

thats a Connie... take a step away from being a child of the magenta line... that would just ruin the immersion and the airplane. If you are not trained in "standard" navigation, you always can ask for help.. there are many many forums, even A2A features a Flight Academy forum... don't stagnate pressing LNAV... it would be a real shame...

Marc

Quite well trained in standard navigation, thanks - I'm old enough to predate GPS. But getting in and out of Washington DC airspace sometimes calls for a bit of anachronism. Plus, choices, a good thing, yes?

Seriously, you plan using your GPS with this? Why not add a digital engine monitor while we are at it? A weather radar perhaps? Hell, let's just stick in a full PFD/ND, IRS, dual FMC, maybe even a HUD? Try to enjoy old technology people, not many companies make it for the sim :D :D :D

no doubt...

it wasn't ment to attack or insult you or anyone else, it was the phraseology of a non-natively english speaker. And you haven't been the only one been upset about the "missing" 750 for sure...

But many many simmers don't actually know how to fly VOR or NDB procedures and prefer following a GPS line instead. Yes, it's comfortable. But there are SIDs and STARs for non RNAV equipped Aircraft too... But nevertheless: They may ask for help and assistance. IF you really want the 750 on a '50s airplane, just add it as a 2D.. just like a side mounted one.. no idea if that's possible in real ^^

Marc

You guys are a trip with the no GPS. You know... you don't have to use one if you don't want to.

Marc, you could suggest that to the guys at Breitling regarding their Connie. :P I doubt they'll yank it out tho.

GTN 750? Color Radar? Can you say, "Tabitha May"? ... Good! I thought you could!

And yes... If I was part owner, I would want a digital engine monitor, that is, if there was one made for radials.

If you were piloting one of these bird's in today's complicated airspace, you might have a different view of the GPS.

I'll take a GPS over an ADF any day. No reason not to, ever, in today's world.

Also, I really hope that PMDG or you guys make that exact DC-3. It's perfect.
