We had a thread for the 377 so we ought to have one for the Connie too. I just landed after my first career flight with a full load. $.88 per mile seems pretty good compared to the 377 but I wasn't concentrating on efficiency either, I suspect it can be improved on quite a bit.

Re: Connie Pilots- Post your Captian's logs
On a flight last evening, actually extended into early this morning, I had an
engine failure that resulted in having to feather and shut down #3.
I was still over 1 1/2 hours from EHAM on a flight from Budapest and
my reduced ground speed and the fact it was well past a reasonable
bed time, I made the decision to abort to EDVK.
here's the Captains Log from that flight:
I'm usually pretty conservative with my power settings but due to the late hour I was 'pushing it'!

Oh I do, Ian. But in my defense it was approaching 4 AM local time and I really wanted
to get to EHAM ASAP and then to bed
Just now fired up at EDVK to continue on and deliver my PAX to EHAM, slightly delayed .

Initially, before I feathered the engine, probably back aft hanging on for dear life due to the airframe vibrating!Ian Warren wrote: So were was 'Betty' with the extra coffee

After some training flights, here is my first COtS enabled flight. A really short run, but still...a first.

Re: Connie Pilots- Post your Captian's logs
Was always afraid of COTS with the 377 and the way it flies, so never tried on that. The Connie has finally given me the confidence to dip my toes in the water and must say I am hooked. I don't think I am that great of a pilot, but my passengers seem to thing so and in the end that is all that really matters. Not sure how everyone else is posting just the log. My says I am a Captain, and I know my airplane pretty well. Greased the last landing. 16 hours in on COTS, and 23.4 total on the airplane and all the engines are still excellent.. No failures yet, but did have a CBS reporter on board as a VIP.
