Re: Repaint Requests
Maybe its out there and I missed it, but how about a TWA livery with the white top instead of the bare metal. I am pretty sure that didn't come along until the L749 model but and I know the we have the stock TWA, but it would be cool to see.

There is one available at SimOuthouse - search for Star of Virginia. Just downloaded and installed this very nice repaint today.sirbruchie wrote:Maybe its out there and I missed it, but how about a TWA livery with the white top instead of the bare metal. Braathens s/n 4557
https://dl.dropbox.com/s/e1g4pa4s4rspx6 ... n.jpg?dl=0
Please note that the flag on tail is backwards.
Name over wing is missing.
The blue wing at the nose is too large.
No doubt this an analogue "photoshop" from ancient times. Guess it was from Lockheed.
The Skymaster scheme on top is correct.
White top
Red white blue zig zag line
Bare metal at bottom
A nice close up view of the blue wing.
With name in correct fonts. (To placed on top of fuselage above windows. (Note that Air transport is in a single word, a kind of correct in Norwegian, but typo in English)

Zig zag line on Skymaster (top) no doubt this works very well on the Connie too.
Finally LN-HHK in correct fonts (It ended up on the Skymaster )
The fascinating story about s/n 4557 here:
http://amcmuseum.org/at-the-museum/airc ... tellation/
Finally:
A repaint will be very much appreciated. Not only be me, and fellow simmers that was employed in Braathens.
But also as screenshots in the large ex Braathens employee Facebook group.
And not to forget the Norwegian Aviation Historic Society on Facebook. Screenshots posted here will add extremely valuable information on an aircraft that only exist as a myth among most of us

Would love a fictional Aeroflot repaint.
Re: Repaint Requests
I'm working on a Scandinavian classic paint scheme based on the early style dc-6 ones. Not the white top at the moment but maybe later though.Henning wrote:it is someone can make this sas repaint for me if you will give it a try you can oplode it to all there will use it

Re: Repaint Requests
i was wondering if someone could transfer this to the connie for me? its a custom repaint for the a2a texan i had done..i would appriciate it, for right now it will have airline name but i would like to have that added once i figure out what i want...was thinking "Blue Fox Air" as the airline name down the side somewhere...but im just not sure but if you wanna add it on, i wont complain, but i would really appriciate it. The propellers are tipped in blue btw and the p&w logo is only because she has a P&W engine so that doesent have to transfer over..i would like the tail number to read N5893K
if possible..i love fancy lettering and for such a wonderful aircraft, only the best right?

Herredj*vul! That is just beautiful, that's probably exactly what it would have looked like if SAS would have used Connies. Mykke prra!Manor wrote:Here's a little preview of what she looks like thus far, not quite finished though!addman wrote: Fan-fabulous! Looking forward to your work Manor.

Re: Repaint Requests
This is not a personal request from me, but perhaps inspiration for a painter looking for a bold scheme or two... I had no idea that Fat Albert's predecessor was a Connie!
Not quite "our" Connie, but close enough I'd say!
Cheers!

Hey, that's great to hear Al! I know Jan Kees did an Atlantic one- a Pacific one would be a great stable mate!Al FR-153 wrote:JoeS475 wrote:I'd like to see something from the Berlin Airlift!
Working on one Joe. The radome isn't quite what we had but I'll try to work through that. Currently working on the Pacific version, but can switch to the Atlantic (such as this one) easy enough.
Cheers!
Joe
