Here is a funny request if anyone is up for it. Does anyone want to 'interpret' Trans American...from Airplane! to the Connie?

Now you can have the COTS crew interactions, plus the occasional voice of the late Leslie Nielsen with his wonderful deadpan humor, going "Good Luck, we are all counting on you!" and "Surely you can't be serious!"

That is actually a brilliant idea- it would be such a fun fictional, and an excuse to fly terribly!!!

I'm guessing the Air Israel livery will not fly in this day and age! :P

Actually, TJ- your request inspired this one... how about a TOPAC livery? This was the fictional airline used in The High and the Mighty... While it was a C-54 in the film, it might look splendid adapted on the Connie. Year would be 1954, so fits pretty well!

Apparently the movie airline was based on the real Transocean Air Lines

And this was the actual aircraft used in the film, in it's real colors...

Anyhow, just an idea if any painters are looking for a project! :)

As one of only three Austrian registered Constellations (even though a L749) I would love to have this particular Airplane in my hangar at some point in time :)

There weren't many 049/749s operated by European carriers so another vote for this one!

This is looking really good! I like the way you have made it look slightly weathered as it seems in the real world photos. We are very lucky to have such talented people applying their skills to the Connie repaints and we owe all of you our thanks.

I'm looking forward to PNA too. I try to fly the Connies of the different airlines on the real world routes on which they used to operate, but with the variety of airline colour schemes available now I have a big backlog of planned routes to fly. The challenge is just to find enough time to fly them all, but keep them coming!

The Austrian connie looks great Jan. Everybody is swamping you with requests, a great compliment to you. Thinking about it, it might make sense for Ebo (Eberhard) to do the Cubana, as the early 049s were a slight variation of the Pan American livery, like his excellent silver one or his white top one. Cubana, like many Latin carriers, started as a subsidiary of Pan Am.
