L049 will not install

Hi, I bought the L049 the other day and tried installing the aircraft using your exe file. It asks me to find the FSX location which i select after installation is complete I start FSX and cant find the L049 to fly. I have tried numerous times to reinstall in fact i used up 10 downloads already from the 18 given by purchase. I am requesting either a fix to get the aircraft to run or a refund please. This has been nothing but frustrating.

So we can try to help you get up nd running as quickly as possible, please can you let us know where you're looking for the Constellation? It should be listed under "A2A Lockheed" in the FSX aircraft selection screen.

Could you also just let us know which edition of FSX you're running?

I am using steam addition of FSX. After running the install of the l049 I start fsx and it isn't even listed as an aircraft to select.

Thanks for the additional info. When you install the L-409, it will usually be able to detect the installation path for FSX-SE from the Windows registry. In your case, did the installer auto-detect the path where FSX-SE is installed, and if so, are you able to let us know which file path it detected?

no it did not detect the file path the installer told me to select the location where FSX is installed. Which I used C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\ also my FSX is steam edition.

The path seems to be correct. Please can you check if there's a folder for the Connie as follows:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\WoS_L049

ok finally got the install to work, I had to reinstall my fsx in order to get it to work.

also is there a way to reset the number of downloads I have I wasted 8 attempts trying to get this to work, I guess it says you have 18 total downloads I am down to 10 before I finally got the install to work.

You can request a reset of the downloads here b the forms, but it would be best to just save a copy to your hard drive and not have to download again.

Yes, as Oracle427 says, no need to delete the downloaded installer each time you run it. Instead, save a copy and you can run it as many times as you like.
