Cheers Lewis!

Performance is great. I can fly higher settings in Sou Cal in V5 than I did in V4 and get a smoother better performance and doubly impressive considering the Bo + GTN stack is so demanding on the sim compared to the other GA.
I do love that V-Tail, something about it goes so well with California!

Thanks for the tour Rob!

I've found the same things you mentioned about v5; just smoother in general and the view out the window is smoother even with frame rates lower than you'd think to be comfortably flyable. HOWEVER! That KBUR scenery turned my flight experience there into a slide show...and not a quick one...so it's just Orbx Socal for now

It's nice to see what it should be looking like...new computer needed!!

Cheers,
Rob

Many thanks Rob.

This simming business is a pure money pit but I wouldn't be able to do without it!

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!
Your Spitfire series sent me down the path to finding all the grass runways I can find in the UK...EGSS, EGML, EGKS, EGHP, EGHR are the initial group I've found...more??
Now THIS Bonanza video has convinced me to quit screwing around with the computer I've been tweaking for the past year and just go order the biggest, badest, fastest b*%^# of a computer I can find...your fault my friend!!! ...and I'm good with it 8) Oh well, it's only money......

Cheers,
Rob

I wise man atop a misty mountain once said “For yay thou shalt find flight simming and you shall see the money pit within it’s temple walls.”...he then pointed up at an eagle circling in a high thermal and continued “but thou shalt soar like an eagle as the money falls from your wingtips like contrails and you shall know what true freedom is.”

I am envious Rob, it’s a great feeling when you get to push those sliders over to the right!

So grass strips.....Orbx EGHA Compton Abbas is highly recommended. It’s a tiny little aerodrome but its on top of high ground which makes it interesting. It’s not compatible with V5 yet so I am looking forward to getting that back.
EGHR to EGHA is a nice little journey, especially in TEGB or FTX EU England.

I had to read that “parable“ to my wife- we’re both still in tears: Me, because I identify, she because knows good comedy. 😂
