The V-tail Can Bite

Post by GaryRR »

Bought my first A2A aircraft Christmas Night, the Bonanza. This morning during my familiarization flight it was a bit windy in the skies over KSEG Selinsgrove, PA. I banked left a little too deep and about 10 knots too slow and hit turbulence and had to do a stall recovery.
After landing I did a little more ground school and installed the bigger engine. I love flying this bird so far though. I might grab the Commanche yet while on sale.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the post - yep, the rather poor lateral stability as a result of that v-tail can take a bit of getting used to. Anyway glad you're having fun and welcome to our little A2A community. :)

Cheers,
