If i ignore the do not take off in the yellow arc of the fuel gauge's and chuck in a cheeky headwind i may be ok. i only have about 16 hours in the bonanza so far and short field take off is not its strongest asset. Its gonna be push the plane into the treeline and hope for the best

I went to the home improvement store (Home Depot/ Lowes) in Grand Junction and picked up a Ryobi Chainsaw for you. Brought it in with an extra can of gas, some googles, and some gloves.
Density Altitude was fairly good, but I cleared the trees by mere feet on the way out.

So, what did you learn from this experience?

Here's a pretty good YouTube video on density altitude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihee35QrWtk&t=971s.

It even has a Beechcraft Bonanza! "We can go anywhere in this thing!"

I definitely took the tree tops off. It wasn't the prettiest take offs but she's out. Damage was on and no crashes logged which I am very surprised at because my gear was definitely in the trees

That's a fun vid, got an old-time charm. I like how the fisherman they ran into was just walking around the airport with his fish on a stringer. Makes you wonder what he did with them for the flight there.
