Bonanza From States to UK

Post by GaryRR »

If I use the wing tanks and fly starting SEG, Selinsgrove, PA could I take my Bonanza across to the UK using the Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland route?

Thanks

Yes, easily. I made it in the Cherokee with standard fuel.

So, by your signature did you fly from Cali across the States and on across the pond? How many days did you spend on that adventure? And I thought I had a good flight planned to fly across the Northern tier to Washington St. and then on up the Inside Passage to AK.

A couple of weeks after I got the Cherokee I decided to fly it around the world. I started out with a Great Circle line between San Diego, where I lived at the time, and Biggin Hill in the UK, where I learned to fly in my youth, and followed it as closely as I could. From Biggin I just made it up as I went along. The whole trip was about 23,000 miles and took 237 hours.
