trouble manipulating oil quantity variables

Hi,
Another question possibly for Rob.
I'm having some trouble adding oil via manipulating the panel variables.
When I use my custom dialog from my software, the oil values often don't stay set in the sim, or the number entered in the sim doesn't reflect what I enter in the dialog.
According to Rob's instructions in an earlier post, I'm writing the quantity of oil to Eng1_OilQuantity, lets say 1.5.
I'm then setting SystemCondSelectFSX to 46 and SystemCondValueFSX to the same number as quantity.
Sometimes the value will stick, and other times, the OilQuantity variable reverts back to the old value, other times it goes to something totally different.
It may start at 1.2, I enter 2.1, and it goes to 1.5.
I've had good luck with setting passengers and weights, this one is stumping me though. Can anyone help out? I know I'm doing things a lot differently.
This is for the accessibility ad-on I'm writing for blind flight sim users.

I sorted this out. It looks like it was a timing issue in my software.
