Maintenence hangar not to open

Post by jirmejahu »

I bought the V-Tail over Orbx and installed it without problems.
At the first start in P3D V5 (with default plane F-22) and changing the aircraft after standing on the airport it stood with empty-tank-gauge and engine stop.
Buttons can be clicked and change status but no reaction of the plane. Throttle, mixture and so on move.

Shift+2-9 shows the 2d-Windows without problem.
Shift+7 shows the closed hangar - but no further reaction on clicking).
Engine ist OUT, aircraft on ground, so it shoud work, but it does NOT.
For info: I am using EZDOK, which works normally with this plane.
PLEASE HELP !!!

Hello and welcome to the A2A forums.

It's possible the issue you're describing could be caused by something like a faulty load of the scenario in P3D, or by the SimConnect client being corrupt or not properly installed.

Please can you try running the legacy SimConnect file which can be found here by default: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3Dv5\redist\Interface\FSX-RTM\retail\lib\SimConnect.msi.

Thanks,
Nick

Thx Nick, I ran simconnect.msi.
Now cold an dark state is possible (plane fixed on ground) and Shift+7 opened the hangar-panel, but the same as before.
When I use Shift+3, disable cold and dark, reset and use autostart, the propeller turned for some seconds and then stopped.
Shift+4 showed, that there is fuel on board and the fuelselector is open.
What I am missing is SOUND.

Yesterday at one time, the engine suddenly started (!!!) and the plane excelerated on Rw and I could get airborne.
Outside I could hear ENGINESOUND.
After about half a minute the propeller stopped in flight but there was further on enginesound OUTSIDE the plane (inside it was silent).
This situation I cound not reload twice.

After reloading the plane it is possible to turn on the propeller for some seconds (no sound out- and inside).
About one minute later it is not while the cockpitwindows gets fog up.

With my other planes (PMDG, VERTX, AEROSOFT A320) I didn´t have such problems.

Thanks for the additional info jirmejahu - we've only just started distribution via Orbx, so trying to work out if your issue is related to the installation method, or to something else about your P3D installation.

Please can you let us know if you've modified the default P3D startup scenario at all?

Also, please can you try deleting the contents of the folder "Documents\A2A\FSX\Bonanza35" in case the log.dat files which store the persistent state of the aircraft have become corrupted. (the FSX subfolder here is relevant, even for P3D installations.)

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick - thanks for your answer,
I deleted the log-files and started new - nothing changed.

When I start the sim, the following things are done:
Starting simstarter (Aerosoft) for choosing the needed sceneries.
P3D ist started with admin-rights separate (not by simstarter).
ScenarioStartupScreen opens.
Changing time
Choosing airport
Starting with default plane (F-22).
When the scenery with default-plane appears I change to the desired aircraft.
EZDOK V3 starts in background.
Controls are programmed with fsuipc.

Thanks for the description. I must admit, I'm not too familiar with Simstarter, but could you try a sim session without opening Simstarter at all, and check if the issue persists?

Please could you also try running the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from the link below and let us know if it updates your installation, or stops because a newer of equivalent version of DirectX is present. (Note that this installer will also install the Bing toolbar by default, so you may wish to make sure you uncheck this option.)

Hi Nick,
only for short to simstarter.
This softwaretool is able to store profiles for P3D.
You can bundle sceneries for example only for Europe, US, Asia, Down-under and so on.
Only the selected bundle is used by P3D.
On the other hand you can make profiles of different display- or autogen-solutions in which P3D should work (previously prepared quick changes of P3D-settings). For example also special "sharp" settings for the A2A Bonanza and "smooth" for normal use of the other aircraft.
Simstarter adapts the scenery.cfg and add-on.xml of P3D to your wishes.
After running simstarter you can close this program and then start P3D. Simstarter will never run in background to influence a running P3D-session.

Just I ran the installer and it STOPPED, because of newer or equivalent software.

Can it be, that the plane is installed at a wrong (unusual) place ?
My P3D runs under G:\P3D and the planes are found under SimObjects\Airplanes
The Bonanza is to install under C:\user\user\ORBX Library\p3dv4\A2A\ (Orbx suggestion/attitude).
I think, that there is a problem of finding the correct path, for example to sound-files of A2A (add-on.xml).
Here is the content of the A2A-add-on.xml:

<?xml version="1.0"?>

-<SimBase.Document id="add-on" version="4,0" Type="AddOnXml">

<AddOn.Name>A2A</AddOn.Name>

<AddOn.Description>Aircraft by A2A Simulations Inc.</AddOn.Description>

-<AddOn.Component>

<Category>Effects</Category>

<Path>Effects</Path>

</AddOn.Component>

-<AddOn.Component>

<Category>Fonts</Category>

<Path>Fonts</Path>

</AddOn.Component>

-<AddOn.Component>

<Category>Gauges</Category>

<Path>Gauges</Path>

</AddOn.Component>

-<AddOn.Component>

<Category>Scripts</Category>

<Path>Scripts</Path>

</AddOn.Component>

-<AddOn.Component>

<Category>SimObjects</Category>

<Path>SimObjects\Airplanes</Path>

</AddOn.Component>

</SimBase.Document>

It would had been better to buy the plane from simmarket then from ORBX.
Thanks

Thanks for the info jirmejahu - the add-on.xml is correct. Just to clarify, are you currently unable to access the hangar (Shift 7) and unable to start with auto start (Ctrl E)?

Cheers,

Yes, Shift+7 opens only the 2D-window of hangar. Clicking is not accepted, no reaction.
Strg+E doesn´t start the engine. Autostart (over Shift+3) lets the propeller running for some seconds, but no sound.
Opening the pilot-window works, but also no sound.
So sorry.

Today I uninstalled and then reinstalled the plane without starting simstarter - nothing better then before.

I don´t want to buy the plane a second time (from simmarket) only to test, if the A2A-installer works.

Orbx installed the A2A in C:\user\user\ORBX Library\p3dv4\A2A (not changeable).
There was no other install-routine running (I could not recognize any).

All this is very disappointing for me, because I invested many hours senseless in trying to get the Bonanza working.

Thanks for confirming jirmejahu and apologies for the inconvenience. As mentioned, our distribution via Orbx Central is quite new and this is the first time anyone has reported this issue. We're looking into the issue now and I think I know what the problem may be, but need to do a few tests.

Hello jirmejahu,

Just to follow on from my previous reply, one thing I notice is that you mention you're using P3Dv5, but your Orbx Central install path is "C:\user\user\ORBX Library\p3dv4\A2A".

Please can you let us know if you have both versions of P3D currently installed?

Thanks,
Nick

Okay, thanks. But for whichever PC you're using, is Orbx Central installing to the approriate library? (i.e the "ORBX Library\p3dv5" folder in the case of P3Dv5.)

If so, please can you check if the following files/folders are all present in the "ORBX Library\p3dv5\gauges" directory:

An "accusim_xml" folder containing "code_s.xml" file
An "A2A_Accusim.dll" file
A "Windshield.dll" file.

Thanks,
Nick

Aha - that explains it, thanks for checking jirmejahu. It does indeed seem that there's a little fault in the Orbx Central installation procedure for this particular aircraft. We'll inform them of this issue and no doubt they'll resolve it as soon as possible.

In the meantime you can download a copy of the missing folder from here. Just unzip the file to a "accusim_xml" folder and place this folder in that "gauges" directory, alongside the "A2A_Accusim.dll" and "Windshield.dll".

In addition, we'd be happy to provide you with a copy of our own standalone installer if you'd like?

Thanks, and again, sorry for your trouble with installing this product.
