P51 Paint Kit Available

Post by Scott - A2A »

We now have a P51 paint kit available to anyone who wishes to re-paint the Wings of Power P51. Basically, the paint kit separates all the exterior lines and rivits so new paint jobs can more easily be done.

Thanks a bunch guys.

This should make the P-51 WoP an even better addition to my hangar when all the excellent re-painters get going.
I know Yankee is chomping at the bit to do a bunch, starting with Glamourous Glen III and Roscoe Brown's Bunnie (Tuskegee airmen). :D

Hopefuly someone will do a Miss America, or some version of a Reno Racer. RealAir included a beefed up Reno Style Racer in its package...most excellent!

Sent mail asking for the PK 24 hours ago, no link yet.
Going to photograph a bird tomorrow, KNIL-ML livery. Don't remember if it's WW2 or post-WW2, but I will probably make both (there's not much difference) and maybe some TNI-AU livery as well.

glad to hear, I put the word on FSwardbirds site....could someone please do Weaver's G4-A. Very 'nice' pinup gal on the side. ST did a variant with his Freeware 51 and called it Cute Nude.

Cheers

still waiting on the paintkit.
I've a bunch of photographs and I picked up a modeller's guide to the Dutch and Indonesian Mustangs listing all the liveries and all the aircraft they applied to with closeups of insignia etc.

I emailed them for the paintkit, and got the link within a few hours. Hmmmm... Make sure you have the subject line the same as they mention perhaps??

OK, now that I have the PSD Photoshop templates, anyone have any guides on how to best create the skin? And after you paint it up in Photoshop, what's the process for saving it and getting it into the game?

Hiya,

Any change for a more detailed repaintkit? Meaning, the one used for the default repaints. Really missing in the repaintkit at the moment:
- dirt (layer)
- reflection metal alfa (layer)
- shadow (layer)

Thanks,

Marcel

paintkit

Does this paint kit fit the updated version as good as the old version?
I found a glitch in the texturing of the canopy parts on th starboard site. Maybe anyone can tell me how to work around this glitch if at all possible?

:?

Cees

PS: I edited this post after working with the paint kit.

Does anybody have a paintkit they can point me to or send me? The link in the first post doesn't work.

I have been looking for the paintkit for the FS2004 WOP P-51D/H, but the link to the paintkit at the top of this is no longer working. Is the paintkit still available? If so I would be very grateful for a link to it. Many thanks.
