Ok then Pelican, is the wimpy from MAW? And can yer post some inside pics.

And Pat, will the ETO be a part of TOW at all?

RAF Nightwar is really my special interest, and thus far CFS3 is the only sim I can kinda get that feel, be nice if it got upgraded a bit.

Hi Lewis ,

I suppose Wimpy=Wellington?

I found it at Reg's hanger site :

http://www.regshanger.com/Regs%20hanger ... ington.htm

The pit is basic :

It's really sad, we have so nice british aircraft for CFS-3 but the cockpit are always basic...sometimes awful. Hopefully the Firepower's Lancaster is really awesome!!!

Another one :

I wouldn't have liked flying at night like that. Too eerie, and I think it would have given me more ulcers than my ex-wife did.

That is a great pic Lewis. Boy that would have been rough.

Vincent, I think you are missing some textures...the Wellington cockpit (and the rest of the crew positions are beautiful pieces of work....

Image

Lewis - James 'mongoose' Allen, the man behind TOW is on the ETO team so all being well there should be something for everyone. :)

Did I mention that it will have switchable periods , starting from 1936 (Spain) through the battle of France, Battle of Britain, the US joining the war, D-day onto the Ardennes offensive and VE day!! :D

oh and working airfield lighting is in the works!

This was a cracking mission and my first full time one that actually made it to Germany. I dont like using X to skip waypoints as I feel it takes the substance from the sim awayand much prefer to fly each waypoint as its meant to be encountering whatever I may encounter.

On this Mission to Cologne the moon was lighting up the night quite well or not so well depending on how you look at it. I didnt see any Night Fighters, but did see a lanc that seemed to hatch onto me and was always slighty below and to the 4 o'clock position during the whole bomb run but after the run I lost sight of it and was on my own again.
The flak was quite heavy and there must have been bombers of to my left as through the clouds I could see quite a show being put up by Jerry Flak wise. Got into that wartime mindset, better them than me. Released bombs on target but clouds obscured the impacts.
Did not see another aircraft until we had the English coast back in sight. Landed back at base ok.

Anyway here is a nice shot from the mission,

You fly the whole mission in realtime? That's dedication! :)

This is taking off from Hawkinge whilst under bombardment from high level JU88's - a hairy experience. Note the flare!
