At the moment there is only one way to get 30 minutes WEP.
CHEATING
1st SAVE YOUR FILE before doing this.
Open the - Aircraft.cfg -
Multiply the - max_rated_rpm - and the - max_rated_hp - by 6 (six)
Save the - Aircraft.cfg -
Start the FS
Limit the max RPM to the normal value and you have 30 minutes of WEP-time.
But remember - THIS IS CHEATING -
Basic understandig of the WEP time.
The max_rated_rpm is equal to 100% and is associated with the max_rated-hp
The WEP time is usedRPM divided by maxRPM, multiplied with 5 minutes
The best way to get 30 minutes WEP
- a patch from the MS-people -
Maybe SHOCKWAVE can do the -PLEASE-

That's what we call "the long way around the mountain."al tom wrote:At the moment there is only one way to get 30 minutes WEP.

If you really want to have extended periods of emergency power without restriction, simply increase the maximum manifold pressure to the normal value plus the boost offset...
max_design_mp=43.050
min_design_mp=5.000
critical_altitude=37000.000
emergency_boost_type=2
emergency_boost_mp_offset=5.050
emergency_boost_gain_offset=1.000
Here we have the Ta 152 H, adding the two values together we have 48.1", simply change the entries to read...
max_design_mp=48.1
min_design_mp=5.000
critical_altitude=37000.000
emergency_boost_type=2
emergency_boost_mp_offset=0
emergency_boost_gain_offset=1.000
This is actually a pretty realistic way of doing it and we did it just this way on our Heavy Bombers; now you will need to use the throttle to manage power settings, and in real life it was of course possible to use WEP for too long and it certainly happened. Setting the RPM to 18,000 is just a little over the top.
MW50 injection time
Hello folks
The CHEATING version was just an idea and a way to start a discussion.
Now for the programming experts the next idea
Get the max_design_mp to 52.100 (46.250 normal pressure plus 5.850 extra pressure) as suggested
MW50 action
MW50 switch to "ON"
&
>GENERAL ENG THROTTLE LEVER POSITION< greater than 99%
&
MW50 reservoir greater zero.
THEN
>THROTTLE_SET< to 100%.
// This value is equal to 1.73 ata (52.10 inHG) for the Fw190D9
MW50 switch to "OFF"
OR
MW50 reservoir less or eqaul zero.
OR
>GENERAL ENG THROTTLE LEVER POSITION< less than 99%
THEN
>THROTTLE_SET< to 87%.
// This value is equal to 1.54 ata (46.25 inHG) for the Fw190D9
Also the MW50 consumption (150 liters per hours) has to be involved.
This will get a MW50 use time of about 46 minutes (115 liters MW50 reservoir).
With the "clearance" from JUNKERS (3 x 10 minutes and 5 minutes brake),
this will be a proper solution.
And
May be the MW50 reservoir can be refueld without shooting down the FS.
I tried this idea, without success.
I did start with XML programing as I got the "WoP 190 long nose", so no experience!!
May be SHOCKWAVE or some other EXPERT can do it.
This will be a proper solution for all german engines (Fw190 with BMW801, He219 with DB603)
with MW50 injection.
Until there, I continue to work on a hardware solution.
