A full, clean RE-install is always the best way and no doubt, I will be doing that when v6 comes out. Until then it seems to be working fine ATM. Any strangeness and i will RE-asses the situation, obviously.

Re: P3D5.3 now out
It was a bit of struggle to get to my first flight in P3D v5.3, but it was worth it.
Last night I started the download of v5.3. Looked like it went OK. I should have tried unzipping the file first, I didn't. I deleted all my P3D v5.2 stuff and then found out that the file that I had downloaded on my slow Wi-fi wasn't complete. BUMMER! I drove down to my local library, parked out front, and hooked up to their FAST Wi-Fi with my Surface Pro and downloaded the complete P3D v5.3 in a couple hours. Walked down to Grateful Bread and had a breakfast sandwich and cup of decaf coffee while all this was going on. Transferred the file to my main machine, then unzipped it and installed it. Got it working with Active Sky and ORBX, which went very well with no surprises.
First test flight had to be in the P-40. Flew the P-40 from W28 (Sequim) to KAWO (Arlington). It worked just fine. The P-40 especially! I flew most of the way at about 5,500 feet. Needless to say, there's no GPS on the P-40. Seems like it was a bit easier to pick out the location of Arlington Airport from all the other ground clutter out there in the distance.
All in all, I recommend v5.3. Go for it!

Re: P3D5.3 now out
Is the migration from 4.5 to 5.3 worth the spending ?
