The Marauder was a terrific plane. Lowest loss rate despite early problems with new pilots adjusting to it's high wing loading. The B-25 get's more attention as it was more user friendly but the B-26 has been one of my favorites. The P-39 is another excellent choice, although it didn't quite catch on with the AAF the Russians couldn't get enough of them and they used them very effectively. Ditto P-63.mal998 wrote:What us Warbird flyers really need are a Bell P-39 Airacobra and a Martin B-26 Marauder...2 great aircraft and both sadly neglected!

Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
Well, at least that makes 2 of us. Seriously, I have lots of simmimg buds that would jump at the chance to own both of those aircraft. Most of the planes that have been mentioned would be great for FSX, especially the B-25B/C, The "J" has been modelled quite extensively so it's getting kinda' old. On the other hand, an early B or C has never been done. Wouldn't it be nice to fly an A2A Doolittle Raider? That is of course after the B-26 or maybe even a P-61 is done.santafejay wrote:The Marauder was a terrific plane. Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
Lots of great ideas!
I agree that an Accu-sim B-25 would be great, I spent alot of time "flying" the MAAM B-25 in FS9.
Capturing the sound of a Mitchell with the original exhaust (not manifolded) was great, only a couple still flying today like that.
Most now have exhaust rings with single outlets installed.
One note, B-25's had R-2600's not R-2800's, same engine as a TBM Avenger.
My other votes, P-61 (I think MAAM is slowly working on this), B-26 Marauder or A-26 Invader, any of the big Douglas propliners.
How about a Bristol Centaurus powered Sea Fury!!

Cool!
But will there be a feature for the DC3 like Accusim?
Best regards!

Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
I think nobody has mentioned the old Jetfighters yet.
With the knowledge they gain with their Phantom F-4 it would be great to see a Lockheed T-33 or MiG-15 accusimmed at some point in the future. As far as I know, there is no Jet with accumulated wear available for FSX?
At least the T-33 should be more easy to access in real world for research than the Phantom.
Regards,
E.

Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
If its a plane to be made from A2A then yes I would love to see a DC3, Beaver or Otter done by them. However, if they wanted to just offer an Accusim addon for an existing plane from another developer, I would love to see the Aerosoft Cat get accusimed.

here's an idea. a B-47 Stratojet with accusim. what do you think?
Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
The Spartan Executive would be a nice thing. With accusim.
Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
An Accusim Lockheed JetStar would be cool.

Re: Future aircraft for A2A?
Why golly! I beleive that a Spartan Executive would be a delightful addition to A2A's product line. With Accusim too. Would use this quite often alongside my B-17. I would sure hope they produce such an aircraft, my virtual aerodrome would be in awe.
