Wings of POWER 3: Civilian Mustang RELEASED

Post by Scott - A2A »

Wings of POWER 3: Civilian Mustang is released

NOTE:
Even though this aircraft was just released, you must still download and apply the latest Accu-Sim core update after installing the Accu-Sim pack for this aircraft.
------------------------------------

We are proud to announce our latest Wings of POWER aircraft, the P-51 Civilian Mustang, "Mustang for the people.”

We did a lot of thinking about how best to manage this release with our continued commitment to keep the installation as simple as possible, and also to continue to take care of our customers.

The first big move was to make the existing P-51 Accu-Sim pack on the market compatible with both the Military and Civilian aircraft. We also have put an additional $10 discount that goes both directions, for existing owners of a WoP3 P-51 Mustang. The reason we made this so, is not to force customers to buy something they may not want (some only want the military version and others only want the civilian version). But, no matter which Mustang you may have, you can always get the other for $20.

Along with this release also comes a new Accu-Sim v.1.5 update, that improves all core Accu-Sim aircraft (Spitfire, P-40, P-51 mil and civ).
Details and the download for Accu-Sim v.1.5 can be found HERE:
http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/vie ... 23&t=32495

MOST IMPORTANT:
Always remember, to install any core Accu-Sim aircraft in this order to insure a solid install:
1. Aircraft
2. Accu-Sim Pack
3. Accu-Sim Core update

I hope everyone enjoys A2A’s newest creation.

Dont look at the clock, it knows when you want to leave and do things at home and purposely slows down to a crawl.

Six hours of work to go here!

The combat Mustang released on the first day of a 14 day "staycation" for me, so, I suppose this is justice. ;)

So THIS was the reason why they didn't release the polished, current condition of Moonbeam McSwine for military instrumentation P-51D, even when begged to. You Smug Bastards. :3

This must be a popular release. The A2A site seems to be getting hammered and my P-51 Civvy download is only going at 50k/sec :(

Now A2A can get cracking on those GA planes :D

This new mustang looks great!

I am an existing WOP3 P-51 customer. Before I buy I just want to be sure I understand everything.

All I need buy is the new Civilian P-51 for $19.99.

Then my install order will be:

1. WOP3 P-51
2. Civilian P-51
3. P-51 Accusim (downloaded with purchase of the first WoP3 P-51)
4. Accusim 1.5 update

Is that correct?

Thank you!

Yes guys thats the correct order. The order is always the aircraft and accusim then the latest core update should always be last.

thanks,

That is my question I suppose too... Is that I currently have the WOP3 P-51 + Accu-sim... So then my install order is Civ P-51, and then the 1.5 update over the current stuff? Or do I need to uninstall/reinstall everything? Cool to see it released before the holiday though!

That's the install I have done Roadburner426 and just completed a 180 mile cross country flight without any issues. Installed the Civ P-51 then the core v1.5 update (reinstated my paints on my military P-51 and fired that up to make sure it still worked ok and then jumped into the Civ P-51).

Just took a quick flight from Orcas to Harvey. I was able to squeeze it into Harvey's narrow runway fine. Excellent airplane. Very nice job A2A!...another platinum award for sure. The only minor thing I noticed so far is that the Comm knob will only tune in .50 increments, not .25.

Thanks for this beautiful machine A2A team!

Cheers
