I did it guys... I realized my dream. I'm a pilot.
Thank you all for the well wishes. I passed my PPL Checkride today at 42 hours. It was 99 degrees, windy and bumpy, but I flew well and somehow managed to do all of the maneuvers . I'm beyond thrilled, this is the realization of a dream I've had for many, many years.

Congratulations! It's an amazing feeling!! I have been a PPL for a bit over four years now - but still 'sim' as much as ever! Fly safe and don't lose that big smile!

Thanks guys. That smile is still on my face now . It's a license to learn, there's still a lot more I want to do in the world of aviation... I'm just getting started!

Thank you all for the kind wishes and congratulations!
I'm planning to enjoy being a pilot for a little while, building up hours... I want to get my tailwheel cert and my instrument rating next, since I trained in a 182 I have my high performance cert already. Instrument is a must, but it'll be a lot of time/money/effort, so for now I'm going to be content flying VFR!Great Ozzie wrote:Congratulations from me too.jacenbourne wrote:That smile is still on my face now .
