This is the place where we can all meet and speak about whatever is on the mind.

I remember the old KC-97. The KC-97 was one of the very first airplanes I got to do maintenance on in Mechanic's Tech School at Sheppard AFB, TX in 1969. I was just 20 years old at the time and in the first pic, I am in the back row, 4th one in from the left. In the second pic by the B-24, I am 62 years old. My how time flies!

A good friend of mine who is no longer with us, I determined may have flown on this aircraft when it was at Malmstrom based on when he was there and when the aircraft was assigned there. I put the time frames together not long after he passed and I made contact with BAHF to try and donate in his name with their Angel of Deliverance program. Communication stopped from their end which is disappointing; nevertheless I can't wait to see it fly!

Scott has kept in contact with Tim Choppe the founder and President of the organisation (shout out to the guys and girls here; http://www.spiritoffreedom.org/ ) and even I've managed too also through work, theirs a chap called Kevin who regularly posted updates on WIX facebook and also recently had one of there pilots need a little support getting the sim setup ready for some training.

thanks,
Lewis
