I've been dreaming of a B-29 for years, no you're not alone. An A2A B-29 would be the only plane I'd need to have installed. With the Connie's engines and B-17's turbos, it does appear on the surface that at least the powerplant development wouldn't take much.

Having just watched Reunion of Giants of the 2015 trip across the pond that VeRA the Canadian Lanc took, I'd prefer four Merlins. :D

Only downside of it is there was too much backing music. Twelve Merlins thundering away in some parts and they couldn't turn off the b*$%@y music!

I reckon, Lewis, you've got a touch more influence than us on that front...

Take it the telly is on there too. Looks cold in Baku.

That's actually awesome info, we normally don't get so much. A B-29 "seems" easy because of all the 377 work done, and two 29's airworthy. And the B-25 has many examples airworthy.

The variables we are not aware of, and obviously the financials to make the test flights possible are undoubtedly huge.

That said, sadly those two types are officially ruled out.

So I hope to see the Collings Foundation's B-24J in Accusim soon...?

Continuing with that thought process, A2A has done vibrations really really well. But having flown on a B-17 and the B-24J, the vibrations are just so much more. Jarring at times, yet smooth as silk at others. Just idling you can feel a lurch and a pull of all those engines just dying to be given some throttle.

Of all the Accusim features I love, in the whole line up, I'd really love the vibrations to be even more alive and even aggressive at higher throttle settings, as appropriate.

Getting a good camera utility, such as ChasePlane, will amp this up a bit.

+vote for chaseplane too. The extra camera vibrations from your virtual head will help achieve what you are after for sure 8)

This thread came at a great time. I have a checkout/ride in one of the two flying B29s on Monday and have been using the old (ollllllld) FS9 WOP B29 flight dynamics and performance on the Virtavia B29 model to practice the profiles. It is just amazing how accurate the quoted speeds, power settings, and fuel burns are in my Hybrid P3D B-29 compared to the training manuals I have for the real one. I would say they are usually within about 10% all the way around.

That said - a B-29 complete with FE section akin to the Constellation, would be pretty amazing!

 I wish this was in FSX though, I really want to experience flying a Real life Millennium Falcon. (or at least it’s cockpit is based off the B-29)
“You Drive a Mustang?”
“No, I fly one.”
